SMEs vote LinkedIn top social media platform

SmartCompany, an Australian online publication, had just released its 2016 Technology Survey, where they interviewed over 500 small and medium businesses (SMEs). LinkedIn emerged as the top social media platform with 72% of the respondents saying that they use the social network. Facebook followed close behind with 69% and Twitter with 49%.

In addition, the survey showed that half of the SMEs want to know more about social media including cloud computing and data analytics while 49% considers social media strategy as a core competency they intend to utilize in 2017.

The survey is a recognition that SMEs need to be more perceptive amidst continuous growth in technology and the major role that social media plays in it.
